Job Description

Verifies dimensional size of materials such as plates, structural shapes, castings, weldments and assemblies. Successful candidate will train on and learn our CMM, Faro Arm, and Laser Tracker equipment.

Essential Duties

Primary accountability is in support of projects to assure quality parts to the customer.
Will facilitate problem-solving and issue resolution through formal documentation; experience managing projects, performing data analysis, improving work processes is necessary.

Education Level

Minimum of an Associates' degree preferred (in a related field)

Experience

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Ability to use tape measures, micrometers, and calipers is required.
• Strong GD&T training/experience preferred.
• A familiarity with sophisticated inspection equipment (CMM and FARO) is highly desired.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of the job, the individual is required to have the ability to concentrate and perform responsibilities by maintaining a constant state of focus and mental alertness. The individual is regularly required to stand, use hands (including gripping & grasping) and reach with arms. The individual is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The individual will frequently walk. The individual must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 20 lbs. Specific vision requirements such as color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

When in Productions areas, the individual may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts with occasional exposure to wet and/ or humid conditions and extreme cold or heat. The individual is at risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
